The Southwick is produced from underglaze hand-decorated porcelain. Underglaze is a method of decorating ceramic where the pattern is applied to the surface before it is glazed. This ensures the decoration remains completely durable and the surface of the pottery has a uniform finish.
The hand-painted decoration is produced in a complementary palette of blue, green and red.
