How can I view your products in person?

You can visit the showroom nearest or most convenient for you. See our Locations map. Most are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. All showrooms carry a display inventory to show our range of product and refined quality.

Do you have a catalogue or brochure?

You can download a PDF version of recent brochures - please see our Request a Brochure page. If you would like to receive hard copies of our catalogue, please contact our sales team.

Can I customize?

It very much depends on the product type and required customization. We are able to customize our extensive lampshade range with a variety of shapes, sizes, fabrics and fittings. We also can work with customers own fabrics. Whilst some of our light fitting parts can be modified with ease, most of them cannot be changed for small quantities as they are formed with patterns and moulds. We are however happy to discuss your individual requirements and can let you know whether it will be possible or not. Please contact our sales team for further information.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Once shipped, your order should arrive within 1-5 business days depending on the destination. All goods ship from New Jersey.

For how long will you honor a quoted price?

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless longer is specified.

Can I return a product?

Please contact your salesperson for help with questions on this. An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required for all items coming back to our warehouse. Non-authorized returns are not allowed and will not be credited.

What do I do if my item is received damaged or there are missing parts?

You must report damage within 7 days of receiving the order and keep the original packaging. We will work with you on a speedy replacement of damaged items or a repair for the damage. Regarding missing parts, please check all packaging carefully before discarding - it is unusual to have missing parts. An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required for all items coming back to our warehouse. Non-authorized returns are not allowed.

Can I request a sample?

Please contact our sales team if you wish to receive lampshade or fabric swatches or metal samples.

Can you wire lights suitable for my country?

We can wire all lights to be suitable across the globe. Please state the country where the lights will be used in Special Requests when making a Quote Request.

Where can I find details on custom lampshades?

Please contact your local salesperson to find out more on custom lampshades.

Will I be charged sales tax?

You will not be charged Sales Tax if you are a registered designer with a resale certificate on file with Vaughan Designs or your representative showroom. Vaughan Designs Inc is a registered corporation in the states of New York and New Jersey.

How does the Quote Request feature work?

The Quote Request feature allows you to add items to a basket along with any special requests and references. Once submitted, our sales team will be notified and will respond with stock availability, lead times and delivery costs.

What is Project Planner?

Project Planner is a design tool allowing you to gather inspiration and save products from across the Vaughan collection into individual projects by room. You can review dimensions, finishes, technical information and costs for the entire project. Projects can be viewed and shared with your clients with an option to vary pricing shown.

Are Vaughan light fixtures, table lamps and floor lamps UL listed?

Yes. Vaughan Ltd, our parent company, is a UL approved company and all Vaughan lighting products carry UL stickers.

What is the maximum wattage and can I use a higher wattage than recommended?

With so many excellent LED low wattage bulbs on the market you will never need to exceed the maximum wattage. Look for the lumens output on the bulb packaging for a good brightness for your purpose. We recommend also checking the bulb's color temperature and selecting 2700K for a soft light. All max lamp wattages are now displayed on the Specification Sheets located on each product page.

Can this fixture be used outdoors?

If the description or specification indicates Wet Location, you may use the fixture outdoors. If it indicates Damp Location, the fixture can be used outdoors with a ceiling or porch covering. Please check that the finish on the fixture is suitable for outdoors, eg., we do not recommend Nickel or Chrome finishes for outdoor use.

Are your lights dimmable?

Most products are dimmable. Please see product Specification Sheet for accurate information.

Bulbs
Are bulbs supplied with your lights?

Light bulbs are only supplied if indicated on the Specification Sheet. Items with a dedicated LED unit do not require light bulbs. Bulb type and maximum wattage are shown on the Specification Sheet at the end of the specific product page.

Cord, Flex and Switches
What cord is supplied with your lights?

Brass and bronze table lamps are supplied with "gold silk" fabric wrapped cord. Nickel and glass table lamps are supplied with clear plastic cord. Brass and bronze floor lamps are supplied with "gold silk" fabric wrapped cord. Nickel and glass floor lamps are supplied with "silver white silk" fabric wrapped cord.

What type of switches do your lamps have?

Most table lamps have a single 3-way switch on the socket. Candlestick lamps (showing a white candletube) have an on/off line switch and no socket switch. Floor lamps have a single 3-way switch on the socket where possible or an on/off floor switch.

How much chain comes with your ceiling fixtures?

In the case of most hanging fixtures, 1m (39") chain will be provided. If you need longer chain, please indicate on your Quote Request the total length required and your salesperson will help you with this. Chain is sold in meter increments and the whole length required must be ordered and cannot be added to the original 1m (39"). This is because the chain for your fixture may be welded, and therefore cannot be joined, or the extra chain may not exactly match the original that comes with the fixture. All stocked hanging fixtures have 3m (10ft) wire cord to allow for high ceilings/extra chain. Should you need more than 10ft wire or chain, your fixture will not come from NJ stock, it will be a custom wired order and have a longer lead time.

The majority of our products ship Fedex Ground from our New Jersey warehouse. Larger items may have to ship LTL with Fedex Freight or ABF or, in the case of the New York Tri State area, by a local trucking company. All items ship Signature Required. A telephone number is always required.

Do you ship overseas?

Vaughan Designs only ships within the USA. We can ship to a US freight forwarder if you need to send items overseas.
