Our Antique Brass finish is unlacquered and is what’s called a ‘living finish’ meaning the surface will change over time and develop a natural patina. The surface develops a two-tone look with no two pieces looking exactly the same. This process will be faster and have greater variances on outdoor lanterns. You may see areas where the finish interacts with rainwater allowing underlying tones of rose, gold, or green to appear. This gives our products an authenticity and character.
